Job Summary
Performs duties of limited to moderate complexity, judgment, and scope, which include account analyses, reconciliations, and journal entry preparation for all CHS facilities.

Essential Functions

  • Supports payroll preparation, payroll data analysis and compilation.
  • Completes garnishment processing needs and payment of garnishments to vendors.
  • Assists with Payroll Request for Adjustments, supplemental checks, and payroll processing tasks.
  • Reviews and provides data analysis in areas of cost reduction, efficiency, and process improvement/problem solving opportunities.
  • Runs account queries from General Ledger, Political Action Committee checks and disbursement preparation.
  • Assists Payroll Supervisor with payroll processing tasks as needed such as:
    •    Uploading earnings or deductions to payroll system
    •    Running queries to monitor transactions entered
    •    Assisting with Kronos error report resolutions
    •    Monitoring Kronos issues prior to payroll file creation
    •    Assisting with wires, tax deposit completion and adding tax details to reconciliation spreadsheet
     

Physical Requirements
Work requires stretching and bending for filing and obtaining research records. Must be able to lift and transport reports, up to 20+ pounds. Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. Majority of day is sitting.

Education, Experience and Certifications
High School Diploma or GED required. Associates degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. Microsoft Excel experience required. 2-3 years payroll experience required.
