Data Scientist-Associate. The Charlotte Mecklenburg Hospital Authority d/b/a Carolinas Healthcare System. Charlotte, NC. With minimal guidance, use advanced statistical and computational methodologies to deliver insights and strategic opportunities to improve the quality, patient experience, and cost of healthcare. Translate business/research questions into analytical questions and translate analytical results into business/research solutions. Develop algorithms for data analysis and write computer code to implement them. Manipulate, combine, and refine large databases to produce information suitable for analysis. Create graphics for data visualizations and information display. Partner with senior leaders (SVP, EVP) across the organization to assess needs and define business questions through effective meetings. Establish relationships with relevant departments to understand the data and the data collection process. Lead multiple projects concurrently. Write statistical methodology and results for technical reports and publications. Translate advanced methodologies and complex results for non-technical audiences. Synthesize insights and document work by developing clear and concise presentations and reports. Provide education sessions on advanced analytical and computational methodologies. Develop metrics and scorecards. Requires Master's degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Health Services Research, or closely related fields. Requires at least two (2) years of statistical experience including two (2) years in SAS or R statistical programming languages; working with datasets and data manipulation; and one (1) year experience in the following: Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Programs & Network (e.g., HEN & LEAPT); Post Acute Care Services; Readmission Reduction Interventions and Programs; Homecare Homebase; Cerner Electronic Medical Record; Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW); Predictive Modeling; SQL coding; Tableau; and Research/Study Design.
