Carolinas HealthCare System is pleased to offer a summer nursing externship program designed to give you hands on experience on a nursing unit! This 10 week clinical experience will enhance your clinical knowledge and assist you in the continual development of your organizational and technical skills. Participants in this program receive pay and shift differentials for hours worked and may also be eligible for academic credit. Rising senior nursing students and students of two year programs who have completed the first year are eligible to participate. All participants must be listed as a Nurse Aide I or II with DFS/ North Carolina Board or Nursing and must be able to work any shift, 36-40 hours/ week.
