Davidson North Carolina is welcoming in a new, state-of-the art, 66-bed acute inpatient psychiatric facility with an adjoining outpatient behavioral health clinic to enhance the behavioral health services offered by Carolinas HealthCare System. This brand new hospital will serve adults with acute psychiatric illnesses including depression, bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders, and those with accompanying substance use disorders. All private rooms, a beautiful and wooded setting, a location in a convenient yet quiet part of Mecklenburg County, and a building designed to promote safety, warmth, and recovery will greet patients, family members, visitors and teammates.
The unique staffing model to be used at Behavioral Health—Davidson will allow for efficiency, consistency, exemplary teamwork, and use of evidence-based interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, illness management and recovery, and specific clinical paths implemented by the medical staff.
Our staffing model will use a “hospitalist” approach. Patients will work with their attending physician and therapist for 7 consecutive days. This unique staffing approach will be mirrored by the nursing and technician staff to enhance teamwork and quality of care.
Behavioral Health—Davidson will employ people from diverse backgrounds and work experiences including physicians, advanced nurse practitioners, nurses, psychiatric technicians, therapists, recreation therapists, pharmacists, environmental services, patient access, medical records, and security teammates.
We invite you to join our team and explore career opportunities at Behavioral Health—Davidson or in any of our behavioral health service locations within Carolinas HealthCare System.
